Spiraea tomentosa - Native to Michigan

Also called hardhack, steeplebush spiraea is known for its beautiful pink flowers arranged in dense spikes. For maximum blooming, plant in moist, acidic soils with full sun. This plant does especially well in a shoreline or rain garden planting. Attracts birds and pollinators, and is a host plant for butterflies and moths.
